SORD Australia and CORTAC Join Forces

CORTAC and Special Operations Research and Development (SORD) Australia have joined forces to integrate the CTAV into tactical gear solutions for military and law enforcement. SORD specializes in custom development of operator gear and will utilize CORTAC technologies to enhance its product offerings.

SORD Australia is a Melbourne-based manufacturing company exclusively owned and operated by former Special Operations Forces members. With backgrounds in various Infantry and Special Forces units from the US and abroad, the staff’s diverse skill base enables them to develop and rapidly field purpose-built gear.

CORTAC Receives ‘Royal’ Attention while Exhibiting at IDEX

CORTAC traveled to Abu Dhabi, UAE to exhibit at it’s first international trade event. CORTAC’s booth was located in the USA Pavilion and proved to be a perfect location to unveil two brand new products: the CTAV™ Plate Carrier System and SaddleSkin™ horse saddle pad system. Both products were received well and drew the attention of UAE Minister of Interior, H.H. Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Minister of Higher Education, H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak al Nahyan.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection add the CTAV to its Approved Equipment List

The Force Modernization branch initiated a formal test and evaluation of the CTAV in August 2012. Border Patrol agents assigned to the Special Operations Group as well as El Paso and Del Rio Sectors participated in the evaluation which concluded in November. CORTAC was advised by the Force Modernization branch that, “Per Border Patrol standards, the CTAV received a distinctly positive review”.
